because we've called it a trap.
In our own pricing guides we warn that a "from" price is usually a headline, not a quote. So here's our rule: the from price is what the simplest genuine version of that package costs, and before any work starts you get a fixed written quote for your actual site. That number doesn't move afterwards. If your job is bigger than the floor, you'll know before you commit, not on the invoice.

A rebuild that loses your rankings

Your old site's URLs are known to Google, linked from other sites and sitting in years of customers' bookmarks. Rebuild without redirecting them and all of that dies with the old site: rankings, referrals, the lot. Every rebuild we do maps every old URL to its new home with a 301, carries the on-page SEO across, and verifies the redirects after launch. It's the difference between renovating and bulldozing. Typical agency floors: one-page builds around $900 to $1,400, five-page business sites $2,500 to $7,000, larger custom builds $8,000 and up, and online stores from about $3,500. The $50-to-$120-a-month website subscription looks cheap until you do the maths: three years in, you've paid more than a rebuild costs, and you still own nothing. Stop paying and the site vanishes. Every rebuild here is one-off and yours outright: code, domain, hosting, the lot, with the first year of hosting, SSL and monitoring included and a simple care plan (or any host you like) after that.

Is the 'from' price the real price?
Yes, for the scope it names. The from price is what the simplest genuine version of that package costs, not a hook. Before any work starts you get a fixed written quote for your actual site, and that number doesn't move afterwards. If your job is bigger than the floor price, you'll know before you commit, not on the invoice.
Will my Google rankings survive the rebuild?
That's the point of doing it properly. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new home, titles and structured data are rebuilt rather than thrown away, and we verify the redirects after launch. A rebuild that loses your rankings is a demolition with better paint.
How long does a rebuild take?
Typically a week or two for a one-pager and two to three weeks for a five-page rebuild, depending mostly on how fast content decisions come back. Larger custom rebuilds are scoped in the quote. Your old site stays live until the new one is ready, so there's no gap.
What about the $99-a-month website deals?
Pay-monthly website subscriptions mean you never own the site: stop paying and it's gone, and after three years you've paid thousands for something that was never yours. Our rebuilds are one-off: the code, the domain and the hosting are yours. Hosting after year one is a simple care plan or take the files anywhere you like.
Are the prices plus GST, and what's not included?
Prices are plus GST. The floors cover rebuilding your existing content into a new site. Writing your copy from scratch, photography, and online stores or booking systems are scoped separately in the quote, so you only pay for what your job actually needs.
Can you keep my WordPress, or my current host?
Yes. We rebuild in WordPress or hand-built code, whichever genuinely suits you, and we'll say which honestly. We can deploy to our hosting with the first year included, or to a host you already have and want to keep.
